Support Groups
A number of Support Groups meet in the Kilkenny Education Centre.
These groups are independent of the centre and the following information is correct at the time of posting. Changes should be notified to the centre at kecsec@eircom.net.
Carlow/Kilkenny Learning Support Group
Meetings are held once a term from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm. The purpose of the meetings is to support each other as Learning Support teachers and to facilitate discussion on issues relating to Special Needs Education. Guest Speakers are often invited to speak on these issues, both at these meetings and at evening meetings.
There is a section in the Education Centre library devoted to the area of Learning Support. Here many useful reference books can be found relating to Dyslexia, Spelling, Reading etc. If you would like to find out more about our group or related matters please phone Kilkenny Education Centre or you can email us learningsupportkec@eircom.net
